Fond\u00e9e en 1964, elle sert la population meyrinoise depuis cette date.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Elle fonctionne en collaboration \u00e9troite avec les autres paroisses r\u00e9form\u00e9es de la R\u00e9gion, ainsi qu\u2019avec les \u00e9glises catholique et \u00e9vang\u00e9lique de Meyrin. L\u2019\u0153cum\u00e9nisme est encore aujourd&rsquo;hui l&rsquo;un de ses atouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notre mission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La Paroisse Protestante de Meyrin s\u2019est donn\u00e9 une mission qui se d\u00e9finit autour de quatre axes principaux :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u00c9couter<\/strong> la parole de Dieu et la mettre en pratique&nbsp;;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vivre<\/strong> en commun par le culte et dans la vie quotidienne&nbsp;;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Transmettre<\/strong> sa foi&nbsp;;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Servir<\/strong> son prochain et exercer la solidarit\u00e9.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre 2021 et 2022, nous avons v\u00e9cu une petite s\u00e9rie de pr\u00e9dications autour de ces axes que <a href=\"https:\/\/podcast.philippegolaz.ch\/sermons\/?wpfc_sermon_series=quelle-est-notre-mission\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vous pouvez r\u00e9\u00e9couter en ligne<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notre foi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous nous reconnaissons dans le Symbole des Ap\u00f4tres, dans les \u00ab\u00a0Cinq solas\u00a0\u00bb de la R\u00e9forme, et dans la d\u00e9claration de foi de l&rsquo;Eglise Protestante de Gen\u00e8ve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notre histoire<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Convertie \u00e0 la R\u00e9forme en 1536 \u00e0 la suite de la prise de la r\u00e9gion par les Bernois, la population protestante de Meyrin est par la suite chass\u00e9e de la ville \u00e0 la r\u00e9vocation de l\u2019\u00c9dit de Nantes en 1685. L\u2019\u00c9glise protestante ne reviendra \u00e0 Meyrin qu\u2019au 19\u00e8me si\u00e8cle apr\u00e8s la cession de la ville par la France \u00e0 la Suisse en 1818.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assez rapidement, l\u2019\u00c9glise protestante tisse des liens fraternels avec les \u00c9glises Catholique Chr\u00e9tienne et Catholiques Romaine. Lorsque l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e \u00c9vang\u00e9lique de Colovrex d\u00e9m\u00e9nage \u00e0 Meyrin pour devenir l\u2019Eglise \u00c9vang\u00e9lique de Meyrin en 1966, des liens se tissent \u00e9galement entre les deux \u00c9glises, liens qui perdurent \u00e0 l\u2019heure actuelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aujourd\u2019hui, la Paroisse protestante de Meyrin, fonctionne en collaboration \u00e9troite avec les autres paroisses r\u00e9form\u00e9es de la R\u00e9gion, ainsi qu\u2019avec la Paroisse Catholique de la Visitation \u2013 avec laquelle elle vit sous le m\u00eame toit du Centre Paroissial \u0152cum\u00e9nique de Meyrin depuis 1976 \u2013 et l\u2019\u00c9glise \u00c9vang\u00e9lique de Meyrin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" catholique chr\u00e9tienne<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1911 :<\/strong> Inauguration de la chapelle protestante de Meyrin Village<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1964 :<\/strong> Fondation de la Paroisse protestante de Meyrin par le Consistoire, en divisant en deux la Paroisse de Vernier-Meyrin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1966<\/strong> : Accueil de l\u2019\u00c9glise \u00c9vang\u00e9lique de Meyrin qui c\u00e9l\u00e8bre son culte dans la chapelle protestante<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1972 :<\/strong> Premiers cultes en commun c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9s durant l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 pour les communaut\u00e9s r\u00e9form\u00e9es et \u00e9vang\u00e9liques<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1976 :<\/strong> Inauguration du Centre paroissial \u0152cum\u00e9nique de Meyrin, avec le slogan \u00ab\u00a0Deux \u00e9glises sous le m\u00eame toit\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1987 :<\/strong> D\u00e9but des travaux du \u201cGroupe de R\u00e9flexion \u0152cum\u00e9nique\u00a0\u00bb (GRO)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2001 :<\/strong> Premi\u00e8re intercommunion rendue possible gr\u00e2ce au travail du GRO<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2020 :<\/strong> Aboutissement du processus de r\u00e9gionalisation (initi\u00e9 en 1997), regroupant les paroisses d\u2019A\u00efre-Le Lignon, Cointrin-Avanchets-Ch\u00e2telaine, Mandement, Meyrin, et Vernier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
